The internal appearance of the house is as important as the
external one. It takes time, creativity and hard work to come up with
beautiful, innovative and crafted interior designs. Although interior design
has now been developed into full scale business and regarded as an art in
itself, there are a few interior mistakes that we do and should be avoided.
Not buying enough at
a time
Buy the several items you might need within a category in
one shot. Say buying Bed room items. From mattress to bed spread through bed
cover and quilt with pillow covers should be bought in one go. Besides saving
on repeated costs of transportation, you also run up a sizeable bill which gets
you tagged a special status of a ‘large buyer’
Frequenting too many
stores
Find a large store with sufficient stocks of items in various price levels. By becoming a regular customer, you can negotiate better price to better service, delivery terms etc.

Decorating without
help
You always need help when it comes to decorating your home.
Or else you will take more time and energy for doing it. Make your décor
perfect by obtaining help of a professional interior designer. If you don’t or
cannot afford to pay a professional, find a friend who dabbles it.
Opting for no bed
headboard
Headboards are considered to be the most striking feature of
the bedroom. If you don’t want to apply it on your bed, you can paint the bed’s
back wall in an attractive and dramatic way.
Over furnishing a
room
Do not over furnish and overfill the room with furniture.
Leave plenty of walking space. Don’t fill a room’s empty spaces with
unnecessary furniture. Just furnish the room with medium content.
Avoiding the use of mirrors
and nature
Using mirrors will make the room look bigger and brighter as
it reflects the lightning. Adding plants in your room creates a more natural
feel. With the plants, you will have a new refreshing ambience.
Replace CFL Bulbs
with LED
Light Emitting Diode or LED
lamps consume less power, saves energy, has much lower carbon footprint yet
provides bright and adequate luminance watt by watt.
